Program overview
What participants can expect
Geeks & Gramps is a free, secular intergenerational program that prepares young people to help older adults use technology with greater confidence, safety, and independence. Youth build skills in digital literacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Microsoft Office, virtual reality, wellness, and financial literacy before sharing what they learn in guided community sessions.
The exchange goes both ways. Older adults share experience, perspective, and practical knowledge through Senior Moments, while youth practice leadership, communication, and service. DRMI has offered Geeks & Gramps through the Community Human Service Partnership from 2024 through 2026 and with support from public, nonprofit, education, and business partners.
